History

Personally, I find it quite difficult to pick one specific part of history as my favourite, so here are some of my suggestions.

The wives of Henry VIII

To me, one of the most interesting parts about them is the way they have percieved throughout history, and the way that has changed. For example, at the time of her execution, most people believed the charges placed against Anne Boleyn were false. Despite this, she was nowhere near as popular as she is now, due to her role in the Reformation and the break from the Catholic Church. Or that Catherine of Aragon had a stronger claim than Henry VII did to his own throne, due to the uncertainty of the legitimacy of Henry VII. Or even how, not only were Katherine Howard and Anne Boleyn first cousins, they were also both second cousins to Jane Seymour. Since Catherine Parr's mother served as a lady in waiting to Catherine of Aragon, and some historians believe that Catherine Parr could have been named after her.
